Polyurethane two-component primer Polytex BS.
Scope and specifics of application
Polytex BS primer enhances the protective anti-corrosion properties of the complex coating, is intended for priming metal structures in an industrial atmosphere of moderate cold and cold climates subjected to vibration loads.
It is used for priming of railway and urban transport, construction metal structures, oil and gas pipelines, tanks, oil storage facilities, bridges, hydraulic structures, power transmission towers, cell towers, devices and equipment, as well as other metal surfaces with high requirements for hardness, strength, abrasion resistance, resistance to moisture. It is characterized by good sanding, bending strength, improved adhesion, as well as accelerated drying time.
As part of the complex coating is successfully used in temperate and cold climates, while providing long-term protection against corrosion.
Information on the resistance of the material to different media is available on request.
The surface of the metal is cleaned by blasting to a degree 1 or 2 according to GOST 9.402(Sa 2^(1/2) or Sa 2 according to ISO 8501-1:2007). Dust and degrease the cleaned surface.
If the surface preparation quality decreases, the service life and performance may change.
Application temperature from +5°C to +30°C
Humidity – no more than 80 %
The process of applying
Polyurethane primer consists of two components: component A - base, component B - hardener. Immediately before use, the component a is pre-mixed with a low-speed drill with a stirring nozzle, then mixed with the component B in stoichiometric ratio (in the form of delivery). The resulting material is thoroughly mixed until smooth. After the hardener is introduced into the base, the material must be kept for at least 5-10 minutes
100: 9 by weight
9.3: 1 by volume
|Material viability at 20°C, not less||8 hours|
The diameter of the nozzle: 0,011-0,017"
Initial pressure: 120-160 ATM
Working viscosity: 25-60 sec
Nozzle diameter: 1.8-2.5 mm
Initial pressure: 3.0-4.0 ATM
|Interlayer exposure at 20°C||Before applying the enamel for 15 min at 30 µm dry layer|
It is recommended to use only for small areas or hard-to-reach areas. When applying the brush, dilute the primer depending on the conditions of painting
